Do you have to pay to play games on yahoo now? =(?
Do you have to pay and download games now? I used to love playing spades, scrabble and poppit. Now everything prompts me to pay for the game. Where can I play games online for free?|||not sure
On Pogo (website), is downloading free?
I want to download Poppit, but I'm afraid that it might charge me. Poppit is a free game. But is downloading it free?|||You are basically downloading a demo of the game if you download from POGO. You will not be charged but the version of the game you download will be restricted. It won't be the full game.

How do I turn the game sounds on or off?
Pogo games have a nice, simple way to disable the in-game sounds that you hear while playing. In each game, there is a speaker icon or button. In most games, it is located next to the '?' button in the bottom left- or right-hand corner of the screen. Simply click this button in any game to turn the sound on or off.
If you disable the sound in one game, we assume that you want it turned off for all games. So you'll need to turn it back on if you go into another game for which you want or need to hear the sound. Just click the button or icon again to enable the sound.
The Sound button in the game is on but I still cannot hear the game sounds.
First, make sure that the sound button in the game shows a picture of a speaker with sound waves (curved lines) coming out of the speaker. If there are no sound waves in front of the speaker symbol, the game's sound has been disabled.
If there are sound waves in front of the speaker, you may have another program running in the background that uses sound, like a CD Player. Likewise, you may need to make sure you system's sound is enabled.
Next, make sure your computer's sounds is not muted and is set high enough for you to hear.
You can un-mute and adjust your system's volume in several ways. Here are two common options that you can try:
Systray Icon 鈥?Click the Speaker Icon (typically located next to the System Clock in the bottom right-hand corner of the Windows Taskbar). Then just make sure the Mute box is unchecked and move the volume slider up for higher volume. As you adjust the volume, you should hear a "ping" noise to indicate the current volume level.
Start/Run 鈥?Click the Start button on the Windows Taskbar, then select Run.... Type "mmsys.cpl" (without the quotation marks) in the text field and click OK. Under the Volume tab, make sure the Mute box is unchecked and move the volume slider up for higher volume. If you do not hear the "ping" sound, check to make sure your speakers are plugged into your computer. If they are self-powered, make sure they are plugged into the wall, turned on, and that their manual volume knob is up.

Is it true that poppit type guns are more air efficient than spool valve guns? Which is more air efficient, the invert mini or the proto matrix rail? Why won't most games on Pogo not load for me on my Mac (OS X Lion)?
most games on pogo open up in a new window, say "now loading bingo luao" or "now loading crossword cove" and then the window crashes and just disappears. this has been happening for some games before i got lion, but now that i upgraded to it, even more games don't work. i updated java, because games like poppit and battleship work. what can i do?|||Hi, I'm definitely not a tech person, but I worked on fixing this problem for myself on and off over the weekend. I downloaded Java for Mac 10.7........that alone didn't fix things. But then I went to Utilities on my Macbook and looked at Java preferences....there was a box to check which said "enable" so I checked it, then went to Pogo, it now works and all games load for me.
