I need to use GoogleDocs for school and I was wondering if when I create a Google account, does that also include a Gmail? And if I have a different email provider, can I still create a Google account?|||Yep; a Google account will automatically act as a Gmail account too (unless they've changed something since I last checked).
You can have a Google account without ever touching the Gmail part; that's what I've done- I use some Google services, but not Gmail; still got a Google account though :)
