How to blocking a number on Verizon?

Is it possible to block a account members number on Verizon? I went to myverizon and clicked on spam settings and it will not allow me to block a account member. I am on a friends account and I do not wish to receive calls or texts from him. I understand he may need to get in contact with me for important reasons however he keeps calling and texting me about other things. Is there another way I can block his number?|||Only the carrier can block a number unless the phone has a way of blacklisting numbers, which it apparently doesn't. And I doubt you'll be able to block a number on that account.
